A.) The artworks that make an impression on me are number 2 (Numbers in Color) and number 5 (Painting No.46) these too pieces really stood out to me I love the vibrant colors used in both and I really like the details in the shapes in number 5 it kind of reminds me of sushi. I really like how the artist in number 2 made the numbers the star of the piece, you can't even tell it was created using newspaper.
B.) The artworks I feel a connection with are number 3 (Tam Gan) and 4 (Frauenbildnis Portrait of A Woman) as soon as I saw number 4 I was drawn to the fact that I saw a black women especially being created in 1911. She looks strong, she looks like a classy woman and I can relate to that.I connected to number 3 because I saw a innocent shy girl and she looks very timid and I remember being like that when I was younger.
C.) The artworks I would like to know more about are number 1 (Harlequin) and 7 (Theater Box). I want to know who the lady is in the Theater, why is her back to us, I would like to know what the expression on her face is. Number 1 is very different, I want to know was the other thinking about balance when he was creating this, was he thinking about death? because it looks as if its a person holding a head.
I like what you had to say about the paintings! I agree that I would also like to know the expression on the woman's face in number 7. Was she enjoying what she was watching? She seems to be of some importance due to what she is wearing. In your writing you did not mention number 6, but I was wondering what you thought about that one. I also chose to talk about that one for my project, and I was questioning it and not really sure of what it meant.
ReplyDeleteI liked the photos you chose for this project, I think that the first one is very interesting too and really creates a question of what..maybe everyone sees something different in that piece but I would be curious what the artist was thinking and why it was made.
