Module 6: Video Review

1.Key Concepts from Glass and Ceramics: 
Glass Blower-someone skilled in blowing bottles or other objects from molten glass
Molten Glass- melted or made liquid by being heated to very high temperatures
Ceramic-made of clay and hardened by heat
Transparent- allowing light to pass through so that objects behind can be distinctly seen
Dry Pressing- to mold by compressing moist powdered clay in metal dies
Glazing- the action of installing windows
Potash-an alkaline potassium compound
Limestone- a hard sedimentary rock
Key Concepts from Through The Eyes Of The Sculptor
Sculptor-an artist who makes sculptures
Stone Carving-an ancient activity where pieces of rough natural stone are shaped by the controlled removal of stone
Restoration- the action of returning something to a former condition
Geometric Shapes- points or vertices and lines connecting the points in a closed chain
Quarry Marble- Pit, open surface

2. The videos relate to the text because they both talk about the history of sculptors and the different methods used to create a work of art.

3.The videos really help with understanding sculptor, installation and craft because they paint the picture for me, it was the perfect visual to explain each of these things.
