- I thought it was really fun to create the value scale and color wheel to do the value scale it definitely was hard trying to do the lighter scale, on the color wheel I had to make some revisions because I couldn't find cyan anywhere so I tried to do the best I could.
- I liked doing the color wheel because its always exciting to play around with colors to make new colors.
- The most important discovery in creating these studies is everything comes from experiments, someone had to have experimented with shades and colors to create a color wheel or a value scale. Its makes you think about what was the first cover ever made.
- The most important information I learned from watching the videos is growing up my parents and teachers all told me that the primary colors were red, blue and yellow and after watching the video I understand why that's not true and crazy to me that this is my first time even hearing about the color cyan. My art teacher in elementary and high school didn't even use this color.

Color Theory and Emotional Effects
1. Color is the most pleasurable visual element. It is function of light. Color differentiates and defies lines, shapes, forms and space. Color has many effects on emotion, some colors can make people have an increase in appetite like the color red. Some colors like darker colors can make people feel sad, colors like yellow can make people feel happy.
2. A theoretical aspect of color that most intrigues/fascinates me is color harmonies which is the selective use of two or more colors in a single composition. Inferior design is like a color harmony. I specifically like complementary harmonies, colors directly opposite each other on the color wheel, like red and green. The different colors really help a work of art stand out, its appealing to my eyes.
3. In the color video, what made the biggest impact on me in regards to color and its effects on emotions was how June Redfern finally found the right color combination. I loved the burst of color with the blues, yellows and reds. I definitely felt "the atmosphere of Venice".
4. In the feeling video, what made the biggest impact on me in regards to color and its effects on emotions was human emotion and human feelings there views on religion, I found it interesting how Goya and David thought in this time that religion was irrational. The colors of the paintings showed a feeling of an angelic side showing angels with wings and also a demonic side detailing sinners eating at there own limbs. I don't agree with Goya and David but their point of view was interesting and disturbing.

Elements and Principles
While doing this project I wanted to showcase all the elements and principles but I wanted to do so by taking images of everyday things that you see outside or even in your own household. Some were definitely harder then others but I believe I was able to capture all of the elements and principles

Video And CNN Article Review
- The key concepts I learned in the Aesthetics: Philosophy of the Arts video are foundations for Aesthetics the idea that good parallels beauty and that the sense of beauty is innate and spontaneous. Also I learned that aesthetic experience brings sensibility and reason together; judging beauty is a filling and cannot be formalized. In the Carta: Neurobiology Neurology and Art and Aesthetics video I learned about works of art,how the human brain works, and rules of art. Vilayanur Ramachandron explained the eight laws of Art (8 universal laws of aesthetics). The article described the lie of art,how the human brain is wired and I learned about lines and how the brain recognizes them with very little details.
- I feel that Leonardo Da Vinci theory on aesthetics is most important because he really understood beauty. He was excellent with facial expressions in his work. One of his well known paintings the Mona Lisa he showed how he could trick the brain into seeing two different expressions with only changing the way in how we look at the painting. The way he used light made the painting so life like. Da Vinci's era was the Renaissance era. Leonardo's contribution to the aesthetic theory is that the face can be divided in to 3 equal vertical dimensions.
- I thought Changeux and Ramachandran had different point of views when it came to their scientific view of aesthetics and art. Changeux talked about shapes, symbolism and tools of art and the language of art like verbal and non verbal communication.Ramachandran talked more about how the brain responded to art.The most interesting fact I discovered from Vilayanur Ramachandran was the eight laws of art and I found art as a metaphor most interesting. When Jean-Pierre Changeux spoke I found the conscious vs non conscious reading interesting.
- The videos and the article relate to the readings in the text because they all talk about how beauty is linked to art. They also talk about nature in art.
- The films and the articles were very informative they definitely go deeper in to explaining aesthetics they give examples the text says that people assume that work of art should be beautiful and the films and the article explain why the brain thinks that way.
